Boys and Girls Bowling Borough Individuals Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Nominations open on November 2, 2009

Last day to submit entries is Nov. 12, 2009 by 5:00 PM

As we approach the final weeks of the season, all bowling coaches should be planning to enter their athletes for the Borough Individual championships, Tuesday, November 17,2009.

To be eligible for this competition a bowler must have at least a 160 (boys) or 120 (girls) average for the entire season. They must have played in at least 40% of their schools PSAL scheduled matches.

If a school is unable to qualify players as stated above, a coach may enter TWO (2) members of the school’s team to compete in the Borough Individual Championships.

·NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
·Coaches and bowlers must sign in by 3:45
·Competition will begin promptly at 4:00 pm.

Other Rules:
1. No bowlers will be permitted to participate in the Borough or City Individuals unless accompanied by the coach or duly authorized school representative (first aid, CPR & AED trained by the PSAL).
2. All bowlers MUST be wearing their school uniform shirt.
3. Bowling coaches will be assigned to help conduct the Individual Championships.
4. The top 10% of the number of bowlers entered in each borough may qualify for the City Individual Championships on Thursday Nov. 19 at Maple Lanes, with a minimum of three (3) entries from each borough.
5. Athletes bowling a 570 series (boys) or 450 series (girls) will be considered for entry into the City Individual Championships.
