Concussion Policy, Management and Awareness Act
On July 1, 2012, New York State mandated that all PSAL coaches must be certified in Concussion Management. New York became the 33rd state (not counting the District of Columbia) to pass such a law. The New York State law, also known as the "Concussion Management and Awareness Act", requires all coaches, regardless of sport, to be certified in Concussion Management.
