Sports Standards-Practice
By Alan Blanc

While a student-athlete is on a team involved in any or all post season games including but not limited to all New York State post season competition, they are not permitted to practice with another school team.

When the season is completely over, they may begin to practice with the team in the next season. Every student-athlete has to participate in a required number of practices prior to playing in a scrimmage or a game. This requirement for all sports is outlined in the "PSAL Sports Standards for Interscholastic Competition" which can be found on the PSAL website.

If a season is lengthened as a result of post season play, a student-athlete may receive credit for 25% of the practice requirement needed to compete in the second sport.
